Synopsis of Requirement, 3). Fulfill all other public posting requirements by the Library (such as the intent to sole source). The Library of Congress BIBFRAME system is developing a new editor employing the design of the interface developed by a specific contractor. An additional component of the interface is needed, one that extends the new design to support cataloger searching while inputting. This searching component for the editor is the type of searching needed for the process of cataloging. Thus the Library of Congress (Library) requires a contract to enable the new editor interface to serve better the catalogers at the Library of Congress for the BIBFRAME Pilot. The Library intends to fulfill this requirement through a sole-source award to Index Data, LLC. In accordance with LC06.305, Availability of the Justification, the Justification and Approval to issue a sole-source award to Index Data LLC is posted with this notice. The synopsis of the requirement is as follows: One 7-month base year. The entire contemplated contract value is less than the simplified acquisition threshold ($250,000.00 as of the date of this notice). The draft requirements are attached, as is the approved J&A. The Library is not soliciting quotes or proposals from any other sources at this time. In addition, this notice serves as the Library's intent to sole source, the synopsis of the contracting action, and the public posting of the J&A and requirements document. A separate public notice shall not be issued for this contract. No other public notices shall be posted in connection with this requirement.
