The Library of Congress plans to conduct a virtual industry day to better understand the state of the market for: Enterprise wide accessibility monitoring and reporting tools, and Services to facilitate usability testing and recruit people with disabilities. The Library of Congress Accessibility Industry Day will take place on May 24th starting at 8:30 am Eastern time. Vendor participation is by invitation only. Each vendor will have 15-60 minutes to present and the length of time will be decided by the Library. Other government agencies have been invited to attend but other vendors will not be present at the sessions. If you believe your organization should receive an invitation, please send an email to accessibility-request@loc.gov with “Industry Day Invitation Request” in the subject line. Please include information about your accessibility monitoring and reporting tool or usability recruiting and/or testing service. The Library is not interested in professional services or accessibility overlays at this time. Registered participants will be provided with Zoom links for each session. Invited vendors will have an opportunity to ask questions before the event. Questions must be submitted by April 24th and written responses will be provided by May 15th. This announcement is issued solely for information and planning purposes and all information provided is subject to change. It does not constitute a solicitation (Request for Proposal or Request for Quotations) or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This announcement does not commit the government to contract for any supply or service, whatsoever. Furthermore, the government is not, at this time, seeking proposals for any requirement discussed in these or related materials. Responders are advised that the government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this announcement. All costs associated with responding to this announcement will be solely at the responding party's expense. We have over 20 other State and US Government agencies who have asked to attend the event so the audience will be wider than the Library accessibility team. That said, everyone attending understands the importance of accessibility. Please avoid focusing your presentation on why accessibility or usability testing with people with disabilities is important. Instead, please focus your presentation on: the features of the tools or services you provide, if applicable, what makes your tool or service unique, If applicable, if you have lightweight testing tools that can be used by all staff versus enterprise system where there might be only a few seats. if applicable, the types of usability and recruiting services you provide (eg user interviews, self-guided tests, etc.), and any general pricing and license information you are willing to provide.
