This Request for Information seeks capability statements and market feedback for a future Library of Congress requirement for software to automate construction of digital talking books compliant with DAISY ANSI/NISO Z39.86-2002 and NLS specifications. The software must generate digital talking books from commercial audiobooks or electronic text, synthesize speech, create and manage XML navigation and metadata, handle large-scale batch processing, support standard file formats, allow import/export without proprietary lock-in, and integrate with NLS AWS systems. Offerors should demonstrate AWS knowledge and experience and provide demonstrations or samples, capability statements, rough order-of-magnitude pricing estimates, and feedback on the draft Statement of Work. Participation is voluntary, no contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI, and expenses will not be reimbursed. The notice is solely market research to inform possible future acquisition decisions.
