The Library of Congress is conducting an RFI for market research on an upcoming requirement for 25 rugged, smartphone-style enterprise mobile computers with integrated barcode scanners, Android OS, touchscreens, USB charging, replaceable batteries, and optional trigger accessories. The devices must support FETCH software for inventory at the Library’s offsite facilities and include an annual maintenance plan, software updates, and hardware repair/replacement. The Library seeks capability statements, rough order-of-magnitude pricing estimates, and feedback on the draft Statement of Work and requirement. Participation is voluntary; this is not an official solicitation, no contract will be awarded from the RFI, and no expenses will be reimbursed.
