The government seeks a contractor to develop a breath switch and Technical Data Package for controlling the Digital Talking Book Machine DS-1, DA-1, and DA-2 using pulses of air. The device must include a microcontroller and circuitry, USB-A connector, housing, mouth tube, and food-safe silicone tubing, along with any required tooling, production/test equipment, and procedures. Work will have two phases: non-recurring engineering and full production. The contract is intended as a single-award 5-year IDIQ above the simplified acquisition threshold, with full requirements in Attachment J-3.
