The existing legacy system, installed in the mid-1990s and characterized by distributed control points and limited intelligence, has had an inoperable control unit for over a year, forcing operation through standalone manual override stations. The modernization effort aims to unify these subsystems into a single theater rigging control environment and replace the non-working control unit. All work must comply with historic preservation constraints, structural limitations, and restricted installation practices typical of protected performance venues.
