This will be formerly adjusted via an amendment when the answers to questions are posted] [Statement of Work Excerpt Below - See attached solicitation for the full requirements and submission instructions] [Note that this is the reposting of solicitation 030ADV24Q0145] BACKGROUND The National Library for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS/BPD) of the Library of Congress provides free digital talking book machines and electronic braille displays to eligible United States residents who are unable to hold, handle, or read traditional print materials because of visual or physical hinderances. These machines are shipped across the United States and abroad to patrons and participating facilities. NLS/BPD requires the production of custom boxes to package individual electronic braille displays (eReaders) securely and safely to prevent damage during shipment and storage. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall manufacture custom boxes to package individual Digital Talking Book Machines (DTBMs) securely and safely to prevent damage during shipment and storage. REQUIREMENTS Production of eReader Boxes and molded pulp inserts The contractor shall produce custom eReader boxes in accordance with LC drawing specification #EBH1, #EBZ1 and #EBH.MP1 by creating required tooling die currently in their possession. Contractor shall ensure tooling used is properly marked “Property of the US Government, Library of Congress, National Library Service”, with the date of fabrication. Tooling property ownership shall remain NLS/BPD.
