The Library of Congress (Library) requires a contractor to provide equipment to update its tabletop intercom panels with rack mountable panels. In March 2019, the Library’s Multimedia Group (MMG) procured a Clear-Com system to provide intercom from the Control Room to venues within the Library’s complex for communication during live events. The current system consists of a Clear-Com Eclipse digital frame, a “Plain Old Telephone System” (POTS) line, and tabletop intercom panels. Since implementation, the MMG Control Room has relocated and has been outfitted with new equipment consoles—all of which include rack mounts and flush mounts for equipment in use in the Control Room. This solution will replace the tabletop panels with rack mountable intercom panels, utilizing the exiting Clear-Com Eclipse digital frame.
