The Government intends to procure contractor support for Architecture and Engineering Services as referenced in FAR Part 36.6 Architect-Engineer (AE) Services and the Brooks Act (Public Law 92-582, 40 U.S.C. 541 et, seq.), for the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The Government is contemplating awarding to multiple firms based on their competence, qualifications, and background. The term of the award will be a base year plus four (4) option years. AE services are required to support the GAO HQ building located at 441 G Street NW, Washington DC 20548 and the agency’s field offices currently located in the cities of Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Dayton, Denver, Huntsville, Los Angeles, Norfolk, Oakland and Seattle, meeting the definition of AE Services as defined in 40 U.S.C. 1101 and FAR 2.101. Services include, but are not limited to: engineering studies, investigations, surveying and mapping, soils engineering, tests, evaluations, consultations, comprehensive planning, drawing reviews, program management, conceptual designs, presentations and coordination with senior GAO management and other federal agencies, full design plans and specifications, and value engineering. Tasks may also include construction phase services including, but not limited to, preparation of operation and maintenance manuals, site visits, shop drawing reviews, technical assistance, on-site representation and commissioning/start-up/fit-up design support. NAICS Code 541310 - Architecture and 541330 - Engineering. This Solicitation is being issued based on the results of market research conducted for the aforementioned services.
