AE services are required to support the GAO HQ building located at 441 G Street NW, Washington DC 20548 and the agency’s field offices currently located in the cities of Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Dayton, Denver, Huntsville, Los Angeles, Norfolk, Oakland and Seattle, meeting the definition of AE Services as defined in 40 U.S.C. 1102 and FAR 2.101. Services include, but are not limited to engineering studies, investigations, surveying and mapping, soils engineering, tests, evaluations, consultations, comprehensive planning, drawing reviews, program management, conceptual designs, presentations and coordination with senior GAO management and other federal agencies, full design plans and specifications, and value engineering. Tasks may also include construction phase services including, but not limited to, preparation of operation and maintenance manuals, site visits, shop drawing reviews, technical assistance, on-site representation and commissioning/start-up/fit-up design support.
