Retail Supply of Carbon Pollution-Free Electricity in PJM RTO
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) only, as it develops a future solicitation for the supply of carbon pollution-free electricity. The requirement is for an annual average of approximately 2,705,657 MWh of retail electricity, with an increasing proportion of clean energy, in the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland (PJM) Interconnection region for up to 10 years. The purpose is to identify capable contractors who can provide this electricity as defined by Executive Order 14057. An Industry Day was held on February 20th at GSA Headquarters in Washington, DC, to discuss the opportunity. The information gathered will help GSA develop procurement strategies potentially starting in Fiscal Year 2024.
