The Contractor shall repair and maintain elevators, equipment, communication devices (i.e. phones, dialers, speakers, intercom systems, etc.), appurtenances and accessories so as to comply with the requirements of the latest edition of American Standard Safety Code for Elevators, A17.1 & A18.1 and all other applicable laws, regulations, rules, ordinances, and codes. The ANSI Elevator Inspection Manual A17.2 shall be used as a guide to establish that equipment is operating safely.
