The General Services Administration (GSA) New England Region, Contract Operations Branch is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Air Handling Unit Replacement Project at the U.S. Land Port of Entry in North Troy, VT. The requirement is to upgrade the air handler that provides heating and cooling to the facility. The existing system uses multiple smaller air handlers to achieve the required distribution of conditioned air. The existing air handlers are starting to fail and the location where they were installed is not conducive to maintenance or repair (poor design). The multiple small condensers are also being relocated and replaced to a more efficient location that will result in energy savings. There will be an optional scope to provide power to the new condenser unit directly from the main building electrical panel in the unlikely event that the emergency generator lacks sufficient power. This procurement is a 100% Total Small Business Set-aside. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The NAICS Code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $39.5 Million. The solicitation will be released on or about June 10, 2021, with a proposal due date on or about July 13, 2021. A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for on or about June 17, 2021. Technical documents will be available through the secure website via beta.sam.gov. Offerors are responsible for obtaining the RFP and all related documents. It is also the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the site for the release of the RFP, and amendments and any related information.
