U.S. GOVERNMENT General Services Administration (GSA) seeks to lease the following space: State: Louisiana City: Baton Rouge Delineated Area: North: LA 190 South: LA 327/ LA42 East: LA3245 West: LA 327 Minimum Sq. Ft. (ABOA): 16,920 Maximum Sq. Ft. (ABOA): 16,920 Space Type: Office and Laboratory Full Term: 20 years Firm Term: 15 years Additional Requirements: Near public transportation within ½ mile Require laboratory space 5,246 USF that complies with Bio-safety Level 2 Requires laboratory space 515 USF that complies with Bio-safety Level 3 Required fenced vivarium space 6,920 USF that complies with Animal Bio-safety Level 2 Offered space must provide easy access to high-tech analytical services like gene sequencing, confocal microscopy, and bioinformatics Action: Choose whether or not a fully serviced lease is required. Also choose 100 year floodplain unless requirement is identified by agency as a critical action. Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. The U.S. Government currently occupies office and related space in a building under a lease in Baton Rouge, LA that will be expiring. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
