Clark St., Chicago, IL. The project work involves approximately 15,943 usf and includes demolition of existing conditions to construct various offices, conference rooms, breakroom, mail room, and IT closet. Provide all new infrastructure, cabling/Tele-Data, security, and finishes. Above ceiling work consists of ceiling, lighting, lighting controls, HVAC, and sprinkler. Fire Alarm is new but modifications may be needed per design. Demolition will include removal of old fire alarm system. The contract completion time for this project is one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. The contractor is to provide all management, supervision, manpower, equipment and supplies necessary for this project. The proposed contract is being solicited as a Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about March 31, 2020. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing the secure website, beta SAM (beta.SAM.gov). Beta SAM is designed to safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) acquisition information and is fully integrated with other electronic Government initiatives. Registration in beta SAM is required in order to download solicitation documents and is used to validate vendor identity. Contractors not registering in this system will be ineligible to download the solicitation and ineligible for an award.
