On behalf of the U.S. Army National Guard Bureau (ARNG), the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service, Region 8, intends to issue a solicitation (ID08190001) by May 23, 2019. The main objective of this requirement is to obtain maintenance services for each of the 72 Stryker Infantry Combat Vehicle Crew Trainers previously purchased by the ARNG. The Army National Guard (ARNG) has purchased 72 Stryker ICV Crew Trainers which consist of Remote Weapon System (RWS) Table Top Trainer (TTT) and Driver and Instructor Operator (IO) stations. These stations simulate individual and crew activities in relation to Stryker Remote Weapon System equipped vehicles. The manufacturer’s one year warranty on most of the units began to expire in early 2019. The ARNG now has a validated requirement for maintenance services on each of the units. By maintaining the simulator units the ARNG is able to reduce travel time and associated operational tempo (OPTEMPO) costs, and improve Soldier skills by training on critical tasks in a controlled environment. Simulations solutions also provide commanders with greater flexibility to schedule training between drill weekends. GSA intends to award a single firm-fixed-price/time and materials type contract to fulfill this requirement. The prospective contract will have a 3-year period of performance. The solicitation and any amendments will be available on www.fbo.gov. Matters posted on the website are not terms of the solicitation unless the solicitation is written or amended to include such matters. The solicitation will remain open for at least 15 days after issuance. Firms are encouraged to review the www.fbo.gov website regularly for any updated information. This requirement will be a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable Product Service Code is J069 - Maintenance, Repair and Rebuilding of Equipment: Training Aids and Devices, and the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) will be 811219 – Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, which has a small business size standard of $2,500,000.00.
