The BAS System at the White House Complex is in the process of being updated so that one BAS operating system (EcoStruxure) can be utilized for all of our buildings. As a result, new equipment software licenses are required to support where legacy systems were replaced. Schneider Electric Building Critical Systems and their authorized distributors are the only source for the proprietary equipment and licenses required. However, Schneider Electric Critical Systems has built the stand-alone, “island” network on the White House Complex over the past 20 years, and are the only company that hold the information housed in the database (building specific graphics, alarm points, connections, etc) that are required to make the hardware and software interface with the onsite BAS system.
