THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This is not a Request for Proposal. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is strictly market research to determine availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. The General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region (Region 5), has a need to perform the following work which includes, but is not limited to, replacing two existing chillers with three new modular chillers, removing two existing chilled water pumps and adding a new condenser water pump, demolish existing piping and install new piping as shown on construction documents, remove two existing utility transformers, 12.47kV:4160V and 4160V:440V, and replace with new 12.47kV:277/480V utility transformer and install new 800A, 277/480V panelboard for new chillers at the Paul Findley Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Springfield, Illinois. The construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The performance period is 210 calendar days. The anticipated award date is before September 30, 2019. The NAICS code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. No other information is available at this time. If you are an interested party, please provide the following information: 1. A short statement regarding your business’ expertise and experience on projects similar in scope and size. 2. Are you a small or large business? If small business, indicate any and all applicable small business representation(s) (8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Women-Owned, etc.). 3. Do you have bonding capability to cover 100% of the construction cost? 4. Include three projects completed within the last five years similar in size and scope to the work described above. 5. Provide a customer point of contact for each project listed (telephone and email address). 6. Do you have experience working in a historic building for similar size and scope described above? If yes, please explain and provide a customer point of contact (telephone and email address). 7. Please indicate your intent to bid on a subsequent solicitation. All information submitted will be subject to verification and additional information may be requested to substantiate responses.
