This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is strictly market research to determine availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received because of this announcement. A request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The General Services Administration (GSA), Region 05, is seeking a qualified contractor to remove the existing roof drains, vegetated roof system, and associated construction down to the existing concrete roof deck, perform concrete deck repair, and install a new conventional roof system including but not limited to vapor retarder, roof drains, insulation, roof membrane, and copings. The work will occur at the 11 West Quincy Court Federal Building, 11 W. Quincy Court, Chicago, IL 60604. The construction cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $3,000,000.00. The performance period is 180 days to achieve Substantial Completion upon issuance of the On-Site Notice to Proceed (NTP). The contractor shall achieve Contract Completion, within 30 calendar days of Substantial Completion. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 238160 with a small business size standard of $19.0 million. Offerors will be asked to submit a minimum of three relevant past performance references for similar projects to evaluate their experience and past performance including qualifications of key personnel, and a project management plan/approach. To be considered a similar project, the project must have involved removal and replacement of an existing roof system in an occupied and functioning office building comparable in size, scope, and substantially completed within the last (5) years. If you are an interested party and believe you are qualified to act as a contractor for this project, please provide the following information: 1. A short statement regarding your business’ expertise and experience on projects similar in scope and size as described above. 2. Indicate any and all applicable small business representation(s),( 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Women Owned, etc.) 3. Do you have bonding capability to cover 100% of the construction cost? 4. Include three successful projects completed within the last five years for similar size and scope. Please explain the characteristics of the project related to the characteristics of this project using the attached Experience Summary form. 5. Provide a customer point of contact for each project listed (telephone and email address). 6. Please indicate your intent to submit an offer on a subsequent solicitation. 7. Provide SAM.gov Unique Entity Identifier. All information submitted will be subject to verification and additional information may be requested to substantiate responses.
