NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT USING OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION: Social Security District Office in Hickory, North Carolina. This is a notice of intent for the General Services Administration to solicit space for the Social Security Administration in Hickory North Carolina from the current lessor. The Government will negotiate a lease extension at the existing location and consider an alternative space if economically advantageous. This is due to the economic benefit i.e. relocation/ moving of personal property, telecommunication relocation, disruption, and tenant improvement cost not expected to be recovered through full and open competition. The Government will negotiate with the current lessor to lease for the Social Security Administration approximately 12,000 ABOA square feet of office space, storage area, break room area, computer room center, full perimeter surveillance system, security, conference and training area, and secured perimeter. REQUIRED: All services, supplies, utilities, and tenant alterations to be provided as part of the rental consideration. Occupancy: The space is required on or before February 15, 2019.
