SSA OHO requested a space reduction, however the agency’s long term plans are in flux and the long term strategy for SSA OHO is being reviewed in conjunction with the SSA Seattle Field Office located at Columbia Tower for potential collocation requirements. As a result, a long term lease for SSA OHO is not being pursued at this time due to the uncertainty of the long term requirement. Instead, a five year, three year firm term lease is being sought. Because the DOL prospectus approval does not include all space currently under lease LWA07170, miscellaneous joint use spaces (gym, lobby) that will remain in use by all agencies through the DOL three year term are being included with this short-term lease. 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1): Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency’s requirements. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 and GSAR 570.402, it is determined that award to any other offeror would result in substantial duplication of costs to the Government that are not expected to be recovered through competition.
