Sources Sought, Lab Renovation, Cincinnati, OH The U.S. General Services Administration, Great Lakes Region, is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for the renovation of an occupied laboratory facility to determine the interest, availability, and capability of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, and Small Business concerns as described below. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 or 236220. The work will take place in Cincinnati, Ohio. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The project involves the renovation of lab space and includes: 1. Removal of existing ceilings, floors, laboratory casework, fume hoods, and equipment. 2. Removal of existing lighting, electrical work, mechanical distribution and systems, plumbing piping and fixtures. 3. New interior partition wall, door, frame, and hardware. 4. New interior finishes. 5. New laboratory casework and fume hoods. 6. New mechanical distribution and systems and related controls work. 7. New lighting. 8. New electrical work. 9. New fire alarm system equipment and modifications to existing system. 10. New plumbing piping and fixtures. 11. Fire suppression system modifications to accommodate new work. It is anticipated the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). The awardee will be required to undergo the security clearance process. The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are Small, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, or Woman Owned Small Businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include: 1.Business classification (i.e. SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc..) 2.Examples of three similar projects completed within the last five years that included the scope of work specified above that will be required under this project and that had a total project cost in the same range estimated for this project.
