The space must be contiguous and conducive to an efficient layout and good utilization. The space offered must meet the Federal Government's standards for fire life safety and handicapped accessibility and be located outside a 100/500-year floodplain. Secured office space and facilities in an office building, fully serviced and altered to Government specifications with additional physical security measures for the storage of evidentiary materials, technical equipment, weapons and ammunition, case files, grand jury materials,computer forensics materials, and secure computer networks, are required. Sub-leases are not acceptable. The building must project a professional and aesthetically pleasing appearance inside and outside, with an attractive frontage and entrance. The building must have energy efficient windows and glass areas consistent with the structural integrity of the building, unless not appropriate for intended use. Streets and public sidewalks must be well maintained. Regularly scheduled public transportation and/or employee parking must be within two blocks to cover commuting needs of employees. A variety of inexpensive and moderately priced fast food and eat in restaurants should be located within three blocks. Services, utilities and maintenance will be provided daily, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except on Saturday, Sunday and federal holidays. The space must be accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and include use of elevators, restrooms, lights, and normal office equipment. Cleaning must be performed during tenant daytime working hours.If available, prefer other than the ground or top floor of the building. The space should be secluded from public agencies and traffic when possible. The space will have a minimum of two distinct stair wells. A Government owned Intrusion Detection System (IDS) will be installed at all external doors and windows. 7 surface parking spaces shall be available for employees within a two-block radius of the space. The space must meet the Federal Government's standards for fire safety and handicapped accessibility and be located outside a 100/500-year floodplain. Secure office space and facilities in an office building, fully serviced and altered to Government specifications are required. Sub-leases are not acceptable.
