The U.S. Government currently occupies office and related space in Selma, AL under a lease that will be expiring and is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. Offered space must meet Government fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards under a fully serviced lease and cannot be in the 1-percent-annual chance floodplain. The Government will evaluate alternatives based on availability and costs likely incurred through relocation, including move costs, tenant improvement replication, telecommunications infrastructure, and agency downtime. Entities should familiarize themselves with the telecommunications prohibitions under Section 889 of the FY19 NDAA as implemented by the FAR.
