This requirement is to modify/update the Remote Control Status Unit (RCSU) Small Form factor 2238, peripheral equipment, and interfaces for the AN/TRN-48 Deployable TACAN (D-TACAN) fleet. This effort involves a modernization that replaces existing obsolete RCSU components, peripheral equipment, and interfaces with updated equipment, and integrates them into the existing infrastructure to maintain the Remote Maintenance and Monitoring (RMM) capability. The Contractor shall provide all necessary qualified personnel, management, technical services, materials and equipment to support the requirements of a PWS. Based on information received from the customer the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). The intended source is Leidos Inc. The Government is pursuing a noncompetitive action. This vendor developed the AN/TRN-48 system and owns the propietary data for the design. The AN/TRN-48 was designed, developed, and tested to meet military deployable navigational performance requirements. The vendor, Leidos Inc. that developed the system owns the critical proprietary data for the system.
