Purina Dog Food RFI/Sources Sought
GSA is conducting market research via this RFI/Sources Sought for Purina dog food and related products supporting the National Stock Number Program and military working dog requirements; this is not a solicitation. The potential requirement is contemplated as a firm-fixed-price five-year IDIQ with one base year and four one-year options, with pricing for all years submitted and evaluated at award, and the Government is considering a lowest-price technically acceptable approach. The draft product list includes 27 brand-name Purina products approved by the military veterinarian, and estimated annual CONUS demand is about 5,500 bags, with orders expected to be direct-delivered to ordering agencies and possible vendor-portal tracking/order-status requirements. Interested vendors should have active SAM.gov registration with NAICS 311111 and are invited to provide feedback on product availability, ability to fulfill veterinary-authorized diets, supply issues, competitive pricing structures, MIL-STD-129R labeling, reasonable CONUS delivery timeframes, and vendor-portal access. Responses may inform acquisition strategy, including whether a small-business or socioeconomic set-aside is appropriate.
