Heartland Acquisition Center (HAC) has received a requirement from PM-SKOT to establish an up to 5 year contracting vehicle to procure replacement components for the Standard Automotive Tool Set (SATS), NSN 4910-01-490-6453. The SATS provides field level maintenance of military vehicles and ground support equipment while manning up to a 12 person crew. It can be described as a maintenance shop on wheels. The SATS contains a large array of commercial off the shelf (COTS) tools and equipment, which have drawers with foam cutout designed for each specific tool. The procurement of replacement components would address lost, stolen, worn out items through normal use, or items voided from warranty due to misuse. There are currently 2,782 SATS units deployed in the field. Each SATS has 1,306 components. In addition to each one of these components being procured, PM-SKOT is requesting that the tool load which encompasses 950 components, be procured as well. Out of the 1,306 components, 1,251 are brand name specific to the Original Equipment Manufacturer OR EQUAL. The remaining 54 items are for foam cutouts that are in accordance with a drawing.
