The Federal Government is seeking to achieve net-zero emissions, economy-wide, by no later than 2050. As a part of that goal, Federal air travel through the GSA, Office of Travel, Employee Relocation & Transportation, City Pair Program (CPP) is seeking to obtain market research information about airlines’ commercial sustainability capabilities and offerings to inform the government’s efforts to reduce the environmental impacts of employee travel. GSA anticipates using the market research gathered in this RFI to develop methods of incorporating sustainability policies and/or initiatives into contract process and government programs to improve the sustainability of agency activities including the procurement of more sustainable products and services, sustainability reporting requirements, and cost/price estimates that incorporate sustainability.
