This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to GE AVIATION SYSTEMS LLC (GE) under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This effort shall be contracted with GE Aviation Systems LLC to develop and qualify a replacement system for the current Data Acquisition System consisting of a Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) and an Enhanced Crash Survivable Memory Unit (ECSMU). The Contractor shall design, qualify, and fully document the system utilizing GE’s proprietary next-generation flight recorder technology based on Xilinx UltraScale+ multiprocessor system-on-chip (MPSoC).
