The Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA) is the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Primary Responsibility for Joint Personnel Recovery (PR). JPRA’s mission is to lead DoD PR by providing strategic direction, oversight, operational support, analysis, capability development, training, and education to improve PR interoperability, enabling DoD, interagency, and multinational partners, to prevent, prepare for, and respond to isolating events. Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 3002.01 directs JPRA to maintain databases and archives to provide a historical record of PR events, activities, and operations. The DoDD additionally directs JPRA to establish and maintain a PR reference library and an accessible repository for archived historical PR data. Access to this data should support Department of Defense, Interagency and partner nation PR planning, training, research, and rehearsals. The primary purpose of this task order (TO) is to develop a Personnel Recovery Information Data System (PRIDS), so JPRA can meet its DoDD 3002.1 requirements.
