The Advanced Language Enhancement Course (ALEC) consist of online self-study and facilitated instruction in a target language (TL) which provides the FAOs and DOD-related linguists with supplementary instructional support. Designed to provide advanced language training resources at the point of need, these courses afford advanced language learners a way to enhance their respective target language skills and cultural competency and to support annual language training maintenance requirements either in the absence of or in combination with formal residential instruction.
