This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The General Services Administration, Public Building Service is conducting market research to determine if an adequate number of qualified interested contractors are capable of performing and providing solutions to meet the requirement. The Government may utilize the responses to this Sources Sought Notice for information and planning purposes. The Public Building Service is seeking contractors that have the capability to perform Commercial Kitchen Equipment Purchasing, Installation, Repair, and Preventive Maintenance in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. In addition to performing the services, the contractor would assist the Facilities Management and Services Programs Division, Retail Concessions and Specialty Services to assess the inventory, condition of equipment, and prioritize repair and preventive maintenance needs. A potential contractor must be capable of self-performing all services. Due to the demarcation of services, building work and utilities (electrical, plumbing, and natural gas) would be provided by the operations and maintenance contractor of the building or construction services, therefore the contractors being sought only need to be able to perform Commercial Kitchen Equipment Purchasing, Installation, Repair, and Preventive Maintenance. The services above would be performed as needed and subject to the availability of funding for the program. As noted above, this is a Sources Sought only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as a part of the Public Building Service’s Market Research. No Request for Quote (RFQ) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ. Any responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes or proposals on which the Public Building Service can issue a contract. This Sources Sought is issued for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute an RFQ/P. The Government does not intend to award a contract based only on responses to this Sources Sought. All information received in response to this Sources Sought marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government reserves the right to ask follow-up clarifying questions to individual companies based on proprietary information submitted without posting those questions. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought. Public Building Service will not pay for information received in response to this Sources Sought.
