The Government intends to sole source this design refresh / redesign to the existing designer of record, which is the AE firm that originally developed the program. It is being synopsized per FAR 5.203(a). The scope of work for the infrastructure design provides for design refresh of select structural and architectural restoration of areas that are disturbed in the systems replacement work. The design refresh includes the replacement of all infrastructure, wiring, piping, ductwork, fixtures, and devices of the following systems for the entire building: structural, mechanical, electrical and select emergency power / UPS, plumbing, natural gas, fire / life safety (fire sprinkler & fire alarm systems), physical security (access control, intrusion detection and video assessment systems), emergency notification system, IT / telecom (classified and unclassified), accommodations for other special systems, and pandemic mitigation systems and techniques. The design refresh also maximizes the efficiency of the office space and provides code compliant emergency egress solutions
