Amendment 0002 - The purpose of Amendment 0002 is to 1) provide the most recent Questions and Answers based on RFI's submitted through April 26, 2022. 2) Extend the proposal response date to May 9, 2022 by 10AM MST. 3) Amendment 0002 provides an updated Solicitation The General Services Administration (GSA) has been tasked with providing a new laboratory building on the Denver Federal Center grounds for the Food and Drug Adminitration (FDA). The existing facility where the local division of the FDA is currently located (Building 20) is outdated and no longer meets the needs for modern laboratories. The DFC New Lab is envisioned as a facility to demonstrate how buildings can be aesthetically compelling, acquired at a competitive first-cost and lifecycle cost, and through integrated design, how buildings can reduce performance risks to the owner and constructor. Further, the completed building will foster creativity, collaboration and innovation for the scientific community on and around the DFC campus. The Construction Phase Services for this contract will include the construction of the new FDA Lab Building. The Facilities Engineering and Related Services will include the operations and maintenance of the new facility.
