The General Services Administration (GSA) received a requirement to provide construction services for the modernization of 3 existing elevators (1 service and 2 garage) at the Mickey Leland Federal Building. Location of this project is at 1919 Smith St., Houston, TX, 77002. The modernization of these vertical transportation systems is necessary to comply with existing elevator codes, and the associated American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and life safety requirements. The proposed action is a Sole Source procurement to Elevator Repair Services (ERS), Inc., a Woman Owned Small Business. Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOTFOC) is enclosed in this notice. Additionally, a brand name justification for the purchase of communication device for this same project. The MAD MosaicONE VMS is the only system cleared for use in GSA facilities and the GSA network. Justification can be found enclosed in this notice.
