THIS IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE FOR Region 6 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC), for Construction Services in the State Kansas Constructed in 1932 as a United States Post Office and Courthouse, the structure at 401 North Market Street is a five story building with a basement level. The infrastructure of the building is steel and concrete. The exterior is clad in sanded buff and light beige Bedford limestone. The roof is a flat composition type with a parapet edge at all levels. The fourth floor is a partial floor, covering only the front of the building. The fifth floor exists only at the towers on the east and west corners of the building. This landmark building covers approximately 1.88 acres in the CBD. In 1989 this building was placed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. This building would be a 3 in the National Register ranking with State/Local significance. Preservation projects have enhanced, renewed and refreshed many of the historic features. Two prospectus level projects in the past and ongoing BA64 funded restoration projects have provided the means necessary to preserve and protect this historic structure. The scope of work for this project is to renovate one (1) electric traction service elevator, elevator machine room and associated structural, mechanical, electrical, and finishes in the U.S. Federal Courthouse, Wichita, Kansas.
