The project involves the renovation of approximately 24,000 square feet of existing vacant office space on three floors at the Minton-Capehart Federal Building located at 575 N. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, Indiana. The scope includes the build-out of seven courtrooms, waiting areas, private offices, and space for support services. Work includes selective demolition, new partitions, finishes, doors and frames, HVAC modifications, plumbing, electrical/data, A/V, security, modifications for fire suppression and alarm systems, and asbestos abatement for floor mastic. The contract completion time for this project is Three hundred (300) calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. The contractor is to provide all management, supervision, manpower, equipment and supplies necessary for this project. The proposed contract is being solicited as a Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about November 21, 2022. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing the secure website, SAM (SAM.gov).
