The intent is to facilitate a contract award in FY24, which requires a more flexible milestone schedule. SITE VISIT DAY/TIME: Tuesday July 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM (Eastern). Any and all eligible SB socio-economic categories (e.g., 8(a), SDBOSB, WOSB, HUB Zone, etc.) are highly encouraged to participate. END UPDATE Project Summary/Description: This is a Design/Build project that includes the complete replacement of the existing antiquated and obsolete fire alarm system (Notifier NFS-3030) at the Claude Pepper U.S. Federal Building located in Miami, Florida. The project will include the complete removal of the existing fire alarm system including all component parts, devices, conduit, and wiring with the design and installation of a new fire alarm and emergency communications system which will serve the entire building. The new automatic fire alarm system will include all fire alarm system components, conduit, wiring, and associated devices, including any modifications to appurtenant building systems and all incidental interface functions and related work for a complete and functional fire alarm and emergency communications system compliant with PBS-P100, NFPA 72, IFC, and IBC. SET-ASIDE TYPE: This project is initially designated as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. However, please pay careful attention to the RFP solicitation posting anticipated for release on/about 7/2/2024 for the official Set-Aside type, which may include a specific Socio-Economic category. All interested offerors are requested to complete the attached sources sought information form, 1 pg. The Contracting Officer will review the responses in order to determine the final set-aside type. Submit the form to the Contracting Office POC(s) listed in this notice. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. A pre-proposal site visit is tentatively scheduled for 7/9/2024 (primary) or 7/11/2024 (secondary). Details of the site visit will be available and confirmed in the solicitation. All attachments included in this pre-solicitation notice are subject to change prior to RFP issuance.
