This project requires the Design Build Contractor to perform a Pre-Alterations Assessment for Hazardous Materials prior to executing the work. Further the DB Contractor shall design, plan and perform the abatement for ACM containing cladding materials and mastics for 68 columns and properly dispose of the hazardous and non-hazardous materials properly. The DB Contractor shall also provide four (4) conceptual design options, one full design option, and estimated pricing for each reconstruction/refinish options for the 68 columns for GSA SMEs and Historical Preservation review. Additionally, the DB Contractor shall conduct a structural analysis of the existing columns and concrete walkway to determine if any additional work will be required to strengthen the columns or if the proposed finish materials are within the weight capacity of the design. This project includes concrete repairs of the concrete walkway, and new traffic coating and waterproofing of the concrete walkway. This Design Build Contract includes performing Construction and Design services for a Base Contract and Options.
