The FDIC is seeking tax software to be used to prepare and electronically file federal and state income tax returns for failed financial institutions in which FDIC is responsible for preparing. The FDIC tax preparation process utilizes an Excel spreadsheet to gather financial information from its official books and records. This spreadsheet is used for the preparation of the tax return. The FDIC desires to obtain tax preparation software that can map existing tax worksheets, maintained in Microsoft Excel, to the tax return either through an Application Programming Interface (API) or other automated process.
