The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Division of Resolutions and Receiverships (DRR), is conducting market research through the solicitation of information from firms interested in making recommendations to improve FDIC’s capabilities in the payment of insured funds to depositors as a result of an FDIC-insured financial institution failure where there is not an acquiring financial institution. In addition, the solution would be utilized for other recurring or one-time payments to claimants of the receivership, such as future dividend and unratified deposit payments, while obtaining feedback on a potential contract structure and terms. The FDIC is strategically planning and preparing for a new innovative approach to its payment platform for depositors and consumers alike, with an intent to establish a more efficient, effective, and modern approach to its disbursement methodology.
