The United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region 4, is extending contract EP-S4-15-04 for Emergency and Rapid Response Services (ERRS) through means of other than full and open competition. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been approved to extend the existing contract and Task Orders issued pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) and cited at FAR 6.302-1(a), only one responsible source. The original contract was placed in accordance with full and open procedures under FAR Part 15 and awarded on August 23, 2015. This justification will extend the period of performance for three additional months, with an optional three-month period if necessary. This is to ensure there is not a break in service that will impact EPA¿s mission while a follow-on contract is placed. The contract and active task orders will be extended to May 22, 2021 with the possibility of extension to August 22, 2021 if the optional period is exercised.
