This is a Sources Sought Notice only. The purpose of this sources sought notice is for market research purposes to determine if capable, qualified businesses relative to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516 – Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) possess the capability to support the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Air and Radiation (OAR), Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS) in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. EPA OAR/OAQPS is responsible for procuring, testing, and distributing filters of high purity to the state/local air pollution control agencies. Responses to this source sought notice shall not constitute responses to any solicitation. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any government assessments. The Government’s evaluation of the capability statements received may factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses, or any particular small business designation (e.g., SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), SDB, WOSB, VOSB, etc.). The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Acquisition Solutions (OAS), Headquarters Acquisition Division (HQAD), and Office of Air and Radiation, under the authority of FAR Parts 12 and 13, are seeking quotes for glass and quartz filters described in the attached SOW. The EPA awarded a Firm Fixed Price purchase order. For a complete description of the requirements, reference the attachment with specifications. Offerors should submit a quotation for the filters offered and technical informationindicating that the filters offered meets the specifications. The EPA is seeking to purchase the required amount; offers of a partial amount will not be accepted. This is a commercial item. See the attached listing of applicable provisions and clauses. Vendors are expected to comply with the terms and conditions outlined by this solicitation. The Government awarded Purchase Order 68HERH24P0027 from solicitation 68HERH23Q0072 to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to that solicitation and the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. If there is no responsible offeror that can satify the requirement, the Government will exerise the existing Option Period under the Purchase Order.
