The contractor shall conduct a supplemental remedial investigation (RI) including a baseline human health risk assessment (BHHRA) and a streamlined ecological risk assessment (SLERA). A baseline ecological risk assessment (BERA) may be necessary and will be included as an optional task (incremental order). The contractor shall conduct a feasibility study (FS) for Operable Unit 1 (OU1) in order to evaluate the potential remedy technologies that could be used to address site contaminants (chemicals associated with the previous wood treating operations, and include pentachlorophenol (PCP), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), chromium, and arsenic) and media (soil, surface water, ground water, and sediment). The contractor shall conduct site security activities. This work will ultimately determine whether a remedial action is needed at the Mid-South Wood Products Superfund Site, OU1 located in Mena, Arkansas to address potential risks.
