Proposed Vendor: Thermo Electron North America LLC. Synopsis: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES: This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source purchase order under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.106- 1(b). The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Headquarters Acquisition Division (HQAD) Washington, D.C. intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Thermo Electron North America LLC., on behalf of The Analytical Chemistry Branch (ACB). The equipment maintenance agreement Thermo Electron North America LLC., is the only qualified entity to provide service and support for this maintenance. The procurement of a maintenance agreement will provide the ability and assurance to the program that this unique and sophisticated instrument will always be in optimal working condition. The above-mentioned agreement will enable ACB's essential function to conduct chemical and pesticidal analyses, thereby, supporting OCSPP's mission in both pesticide registration and risk assessment activities. Although this specific type of analytical instrument provides a routine function for the immediate program it is, however, an essential requirement for ACB's function and overall mission. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA¿s requirement as stated herein may submit a capability statement, by November 13, 2019 at 4pm.
