Cincinnati, OH 45268 PSC: 9905 – Signs, Advertising Displays, and Identification Plates Subject: Acquisition of Signage Holders for Life Safety Egress Maps, Research Triangle Park, NC Proposed Solicitation Number: 68HERC24Q0013 Synopsis Closing Date: 4:30 PM Eastern, 11/22/2023 Description: The life safety egress maps affiliated with the EPA’s Research Triangle Park (RTP) campus have been revised and updated to reflect the current building layouts. The original fire egress maps created during the original building construction in 2001 were outdated and did not reflect recent renovations or emergency equipment relocations / additions. Additional maps were created for areas that did not previously have egress maps. As a result, the EPA needs to add and replace the fire egress map frames in Buildings A, B, C, D, E, High Bay, FEELC, and the NCC on the RTP campus, as well as the Page Road Warehouse in Chapel Hill, NC. To that end, the EPA is planning to purchase frameless sign/message holders. These products must match the following characteristics: The holder must have a non-glare lens with a pocket to house a sub-surface, digitally printed insert (supplied by the user). The insert must be easily replaceable via a subsurface thumbslot or similar. The backer must be rigid and thin –equivalent to a .080" (2mm) aluminum composite panel and face is 1/16" non-glare acrylic. Overall thickness must be approximately 3/16". The overall holder must be frameless or have an extremely minimal frame. Products ordered must meet the following dimensions: Insert Size and Quantity (provided by COR) •Item 1: 11in x 17in (quantity 140) •Item 2: 8.5in x 17in (quantity 10) Overall Frames Dimensions: •Item 1: 11-5/8” (height) x 17” (width) •Item 2: 9-1/8” (height) x 11” (width) Color: Brushed metallic; A14 Medium Grey; or Pewter (99)5. Mounting: 1/4" PVC Backer Following market research, the EPA intends to directly solicit Apco Graphics, Inc. on a sole source basis for the purchase of its Faux Elevate (EV WIN117) products. The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition is attached to this synopsis. Products will need to be delivered to EPA’s Research Triangle Park Campus at 109 T.W. Alexander Dr., Research Triangle Park, NC 27711. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the U.S. EPA. Award is estimated to be made by 12/15/2023.
