The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Water (OW) is performing a "market search" for large and small businesses in preparation for a future procurement. The EPA is also interested to see if small businesses are capable of meeting this requirement. Information submitted in response to this notice is merely used for internal market research purposes, and no feedback will be offered to the interested parties that submit capability statements. Under this requirement, the contractor shall provide off-site toxicological and microbial technical and regulatory support services to the Health and Ecological Criteria Division (HECD), which is part of the OW Office of Science and Technology (OST). These support services will include collecting and evaluating the state-of-the-science for specific microbial and toxicological pollutants; assisting HECD in all aspects of the assessment of human health risks from specific microbial and toxicological pollutants; and, providing support for the development of human health water quality criteria, health advisories, screening level benchmarks, maximum contaminant level goals for pollutants in drinking water, implementation guidance support for ambient water quality criteria, and standards for use or disposal of biosolids and other media to support evaluation and control of pollutants.
