The National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory (NVFEL) has fourteen underground storage tanks (USTs) with a total of thirty-five compartments and one fuel dispenser that require annual and triennial inspections to be completed with 100% percent pass rate for the USTs to stay in operation. These inspections are required for the NVFEL to be in compliance with Part 211, Underground Storage Tank Regulations, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended (Act 451); the Michigan Underground Storage Tank Rules, 2008 AACS R 29.2101; and rules for the Storage and Handling of Flammable and Combustible Liquids, 2014 AACS R 29.5601. UST Inspections occurred October 11-19th. During Inspections Failures were found. This contract will allow all findings to be remedied and pass the state required inspections.
