THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) DO NOT SUBMIT A QUOTE The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), Center for Public Health and Environmental Assessment (CEPHA), Public Health and Integrated Toxicology Division located in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC 27711, has a requirement for a Service Maintenance Agreement with Illumina, Inc., for the following instrument(s); Illumina NextSeq (NS500611) Illumina, Inc., 5200 Illumina Way, San Diego, CA 92122-4616, is the sole source of factory trained service engineers to service, repair and provide software updates/migration of this instrument. this acquisition is for one year. JUSTIFICATION FOR SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT: Illumina, Inc. and its employees are the sole source for factory new or factory remanufactured parts, local service representation and factory trained/certified engineers to provide service and installation for all instrumentation manufactured and sold by Illumina, Inc. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy CHPHEA’s requirement. The government currently has a service agreement for NextSeq (SN NS500611) that expires 05/20/2023. The following specialized preventative maintenance and repair activities are critical: NextSeq 500 Support Plan (20019986) OEM Field Service Engineer labor, travel, and parts required for Corrective Maintenance visits with a targeted response time of 3 business days. *Proprietary software with updates/upgrades * 1 Preventative Maintenance visit * Must have direct access to OEM certified service engineer to trouble shoot instrument. * Access to latest service and support information * Factory trained Illumina certified technicians with exclusive use of OEM replacement parts. * Service performed by non-authorized provider will limit instrument warranty coverage. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 811210 and the business size standard is $ 34M. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. THIS IN NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) DO NOT SUBMIT A QUOTE The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 811210 and the business size standard is $34 M. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting the CPHEA requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability by providing documentation confirming authorization and certified capability from the manufacturer to perform service/maintenance/repair on the components identified in this notice to fulfill the requirement being requested by 10:00 am ED on April 25, 2023. Responses to this notice without this confirmation from the manufacturer will not be considered as valid. All responses shall identify their active UEI number as registered in System of Award Management (SAM). Responses must be submitted in writing to daggs.pam@epa.gov no later than the time and date noted above. Telephone responses and requests will not be accepted. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice.
