In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b)(1), the US Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a sole source fixed-priced Purchase Order. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) DO NOT SUBMIT A QUOTE The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), Center for Environmental Measurement & Modeling (CEMM), Watershed & Ecosystem Characterization Division located in Research Triangle Park, NC 27711, has a requirement for a Service Maintenance Agreement with Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC., for the following instrument(s): Sigma System Item 100 2024-664 Qty 1 Protect Premium SIGMA System Item 101 2024 393 Qty 1 Protect Option Cathode Change Item 102 2024-728 Qty1 Protect Premium VP FESEM Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC., 1 North Broadway, White Plains, NY 10601, is the sole source of factory trained service engineers to service, repair, and provide software updates/migration of this instrument. This acquisition is for one year. The following specialized preventative maintenance and repair activities are critical: SIGMA System – Protect Premium Service Agreement • 1 Preventative Maintenance Inspection/Visit per year (includes all labor and travel associated with conducting the PM inspection visit). • All labor and travel related charges associated with any service visit in addition to the PM visit as may be required during the contact year, is included. • All covered replacement parts • Access to latest service and support information • Factory trained Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC, certified technicians with exclusive use of OEM replacement parts. • Service performed by non-authorized provider will limit instrument warranty coverage. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 811219 and the business size standard is $22 M. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) DO NOT SUBMIT A QUOTE NOTE: If you are an authorized distributor or equipment service/maintenance management provider; provide documentation confirming authorization and certified capability from the manufacturer to perform service/maintenance/repair on the components identified in this notice. Responses to this notice without this confirmation from the manufacturer will not be considered as valid. Any interested party that believes it can meet this requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill this requirement being requested by 02:30 PM ED on May 11, 2022. Responses must be submitted in writing to daggs.pam@epa.gov no later than the time and date noted above. Telephone responses and requests will not be accepted.
